While this website is a place for me to share my books and updates on my writing projects with readers.
Ok, enough with that information. Now let's get straight to the point. In this post, I would like to share five fun facts about Pretty Pink Garden. But before I share the five fun facts, let me share a synopsis of the story with you guys first...
ABOUT PRETTY PINK GARDEN
Pretty Pink Garden (PPG) is a YA Romance short story I wrote in the book Komplot Cerpen Penulis Paluan Seni (KCPPS). PPG is a story about love and dreams. Pretty Pink Garden Cafe & Florist is a cafe and flower shop located at Presint Diplomatik, Putrajaya, Malaysia. At PPG, customers are allowed to dine in, purchase some flowers, and enjoy their food in a magical garden atmosphere.
One of the regular customers at the cafe is Nursofia Amira (Mira). Mira is the protagonist in the story. She's a fashion design student at Limkokwing University. Mira is artistic, creative, innovative, imaginative, adventurous, trendy, friendly, cheerful, kind-hearted, and loves flowers. Flowers are Mira's no.1 inspiration to create her designs.
The love interest in PPG is Wilson Cho. Wilson is a handsome Chinese-Malaysian boy. He is intelligent, hardworking, enthusiastic, polite, kind-hearted, and a good mama's boy. Wilson is a florist, an entrepreneur, and an MBA student. His mother, Auntie Cho is the owner of Pretty Pink Garden Cafe & Florist.
Mira and Wilson are good friends. They are kind to each other. They help each other a lot. Mira sees Wilson as more than just a friend. But Wilson is not ready for a romantic relationship. Wilson wants him and Mira to remain friends. Wilson believes he and Mira are too young for a romantic relationship. Plus, Wilson wants to focus on his studies and career first. Wilson has a good dream. He wants to expand his mother's business. But can Mira accept and understand Wilson's decision? And will Mira and Wilson remain friends after the rejection? You guys need to read Pretty Pink Garden and purchase KCPPS for the answers ^_^
FIVE FUN FACTS ABOUT PRETTY PINK GARDEN
#1 PUTRAJAYA IS THE MAIN SETTING FOR THE STORY
Since Pretty Pink Garden Cafe & Florist is located in Putrajaya, the main setting for this story is also in Putrajaya. Plus, the protagonist, Mira is also from Putrajaya. Putrajaya is a city and a federal territory in Malaysia. The city is located in west-central Peninsular Malaysia. It is situated 15 miles (25 km) south of the capital, Kuala Lumpur. Putrajaya is a planned city and it serves as the country’s administrative center. If you guys are interested in Putrajaya, you can google some information about the city. Putrajaya is a must-visit city if you guys traveled to Malaysia.
#2 THE STORY IS ABOUT FASHION, FLOWERS & ARTS
Since I portrayed Mira as a fashion designer to be, and Wilson as a florist, Pretty Pink Garden is about fashion, flowers, and art. I combined these three elements together for the story. I believe fashion, flowers, and arts are beautiful elements to create a simple romance story.
#3 FLOWERS ARE THE MAIN INSPIRATION FOR THIS STORY
Mira and Wilson both love flowers. Wilson has always been passionate about flowers ever since he was a little child. That's because his mother is a florist. Mira sees flowers as her main inspiration to create her fashion. So this is why I make flowers the main inspiration for PPG. After all, flowers are beautiful and almost everyone in this world loves flowers, right?
#4 THE LOVE INTEREST, WILSON CHO WAS CREATED AFTER KIM SOO HYUN
Wilson is a very hardworking, knowledge seeker, and goal-orientated young lad. He has visions. He knows what he wants. Wilson dares to dream big and go for his dreams. Wilson loves his mother a lot. He wants to do well for her and make her proud. His mother is everything to him. Wilson is also kind-hearted and very polite. He is a fine gentleman.
Wilson has the Asian boy-next-door-look. He is sweet and charming. He is 1.8 meters tall, has Asian skin, black hair, and dark brown eyes. He also has a very adorable eye-smile that melts everyone's heart ^_^ I created Wilson after South Korean cute actor, Kim Soo Hyun. So they look alike ^_^ Kim Soo Hyun is one of the male celebrities that I admire and have a crush on. He is cute, adorable, charming, charismatic, and has his own X-Factor. I believe he is adorable enough to become a florist. That's why I created Wilson Cho after him.
I also have written a Book Heartthrob Profile about Wilson Cho on my blog, Fadima Mooneira. Please feel free to click this link >> BOOK HEARTTHROB PROFILE: WILSON CHO FROM PRETTY PINK GARDEN if you want to know more about the character.
#5 PRETTY PINK GARDEN CAFE & FLORIST IS A FICTIONAL PLACE
Last but not least, I need to be honest with my readers that Pretty Pink Garden Cafe & Florist is a fictional place. This cafe & florist does not exist yet in Putrajaya. But who knows... it will exist in the future. Insya-Allah ^_^ I only created the lovely hotspot for the story and it was inspired by Peggy Porschen cafe in London. ^_^
Ok, so these are the five fun facts about Pretty Pink Garden.
