WHERE HAVE I BEEN...
Eiyo Fadneiras,
Welcome back to my author website, F. Mooneira's Bookshelf. How are you guys doing? What have you been up to lately? I know it's been a while since I last posted here. My last post was dated 15th January 2025. And now it's June 2025. Huhuhu... It's been five months :P
Early this year, I decided to take a break from participating in book events. But I'm still alive, thriving, and writing. So in this entry, I'm going to share with you guys what I've been up to during the first half of 2025. And even though I rarely post on this website, I am active writing and sharing articles on my blog, Fadima Mooneira. So if you guys miss me, head to my blog. I shared new articles there once a week. Let's geek about books, authors, characters, celebrities, art, beauty, travel, and lifestyle there ^_^
Now, let's carry on with today's objective...
#1 FOCUS ON INNER-WORK
Besides working on my dreams, I am also busy working on myself. Since September last year, I learned that self-love has two parts. Part one of the self-love practice requires you to appreciate your light. This includes prioritizing yourself, setting boundaries, and celebrating your wins (big and small). I started this practice years before and did well. This practice made me a better version of myself. Syukur alhamdulillah.
But the self-love practice does not end with you appreciating your light, and this is where part two begins. Part two of the self-love practice is terrifying because it forces you to embrace your shadows as well. Yep, the second part of the self-love practice requires you to treat your flaws the same way you treat your strengths, quit self-doubt, forgive yourself for your past mistakes, forgive those who have hurt you before, and make peace with your past traumas. I know this sounds overwhelming, intense, and uncomfortable. That's how I feel when I first begin the second part of my self-love practice. In fact, I keep questioning myself... "Do you think you will pass this practice, Fadima?" It's not easy, and success can't be achieved in a fortnight. I was required to walk into a roaring fire without my armour. Can you guys imagine that? Uhhhhhh...
But hey... the second part of the self-love practice is important for me. And since I did well with the first part, Insya-Allah I will do well with the second part. And during this second part of self-love practice, I fixed my daily prayers, do more solat sunat, practice gratitude, do more journaling, and do more fitness workouts. Yep, I'm doing kickboxing, pilates, and recently started yoga. I'm now quite addicted to yoga. Yoga is not just good for my body. But it also nourishes my mind, heart, and soul. Doing yoga suddenly gives me the feeling that I need to do an activity that is challenging and scares me. Maybe wall climbing, hiking, archery, kayaking, or ice skating. Hehehe ^_^ And for this second part of self-love practice, I educate myself that I'm not perfect and will never be. Yep, I have flaws. But I'm real. And being a flawed person does not make me less than anyone else. Yes, I'm whole, love, and enough. These are the three things I tell myself every morning. Syukur alhamdulillah. It works well so far. I'm not there yet. But I am healing and slowly aligning with my higher self. I learned to press the mute button on my inner critic and listen to my soul more. I started to love myself more and more, inside and out ^_^ I am becoming the love that I seek. And love is my middle name. I'm grateful for what I'm doing, my experiences, both good and bad ones. They are all valuable to me. Focusing on inner work also makes me trust Allah SWT's timing and plans for me more. Syukur alhamdulillah ^_^
#2 DOMESTIC TRAVEL AND STAYCATION
This year, my family and I have not traveled overseas yet. We decided to focus on domestic travels and staycations. There are a lot of hidden gems in our birthland that we haven't discovered yet. As a writer and blogger, I would like to share these gems with you guys. Insya-Allah, I will write more about interesting places I visited in Malaysia on my blog and even stories.
#3 LAUNCHED LLA'DIMA
This year, I became a certified crafter. Yep, besides being an author, I'm also a crafter of plushies now. Syukur alhamdulillah, I'm grateful for this achievement. Yay!!! Early this year, I launched my first line of plushie collection ~ Lla'Dima. Lla'Dima is a llama plushie created, designed, hand-sewn, and handcrafted by me. The name Lla'Dima is a combination of the word 'llama' and my name, 'Fadima'. These llamas are crafted for people who are and want to be unapologetically themselves. Each llama possesses its own unique identity. If you want to know more about Lla'Dima Llamas, you can click on this link >> FIVE REASONS FOR IMAGINATIVE PEOPLE TO OWN A LLA'DIMA
And if you wish to grab a Lla'Dima, you can click on this link >> LLA'DIMA @ FADNEIRA_ON94U
I'm grateful for the achievements I made with Lla'Dima llamas. Alhamdulillah. Thank you to those who have purchased my unapologetic llamas. And thank you to those who have custom-made those llamas (yep, I offered custom-made service too). Your support is highly appreciated ^_^
#4 SENT 89 COPIES OF SARANGHAEYO NAMSAN TO PPAS
Syukur alhamdulillah. This year, I made a milestone in my writing journey. My second novel, Saranghaeyo Namsan, was selected by the Selangor Public Library (PPAS). Yep, PPAS bought 89 copies of Saranghaeyo Namsan from me. Thank you very much to my author friend, Puan Amshida Ahmad Rani. It was her hard work that put Saranghaeyo Namsan at PPAS. You are the best, Puan Am. Wishing you loads of success in your writing journey. Aamiin. Love ya ^_^
#5 WRITING MY THIRD NOVEL
I only took a break from participating in book events. But I did not take a break from writing. Besides blogging, I'm also working on my third novel right now. My third WIP is a spin-off of my second novel, Saranghaeyo Namsan. Maya Juhara's younger sister, Yasmeen Aizura, will take the center stage as the protagonist and female lead of my third WIP. Yep, this third novel follows Yasmeen as she embarks on an adventure in Manchester. This adventure is not just physical. But it is also a spiritual one that involves self-love and discovery.
I just finished drafting Yasmeen's story and will start editing the manuscript with my mom (who is also my editor) soon. Insya-Allah. Please pray that everything will be at ease for both of us. I hoped to publish this novel this year as well. And I hoped to start participating again in book events this year. Insya-Allah. Aamiin.
#6 ATTENDED KLIBF 2025
Even though I decided not to participate in the Kuala Lumpur International Book Fair this year, I still attended the event. I went to the fair for some book hauls, to meet friends, and to support fellow writers who participated. Syukur alhamdulillah, I had fun. I bought a lot of novels published by Manes Wordworks (an upcoming book publisher in Malaysia) and Hikayat Fandom (a publisher of historical retelling fiction books). I can't resist novels published by Manes Wordworks. The covers are tempting. Hehehe ^_^ And the staff at Manes's booth were very friendly and cheerful. They offered good service ^_^
Attending the event to meet up and support some friends motivated me to get back to my momentum. Yep, I'm ready to participate again in any book events available this year. Fadima Mooneira will be back ^_^
Okay, so these are the things I've been up to lately. Syukur alhamdulillah, my first half of 2025 is good, even though I had ups and downs. Like I said, all experiences are valuable.
Okay, this is all for now. Insya-Allah, I'll see you guys again next Monday at my blog. I'll be sharing a review of a perfume I've been using since last February. So stay tuned! And if you guys want updates and trivia on my writing and other projects, do follow my socmeds. Links are as below...

So true. Self-love is part of life journey. And it leads you to self-discovery. You discover things that you hate about yourself are actually your biggest qualities. Just sharing my experience ^_^
